Society is increasingly focused on living sustainably and responsibly. Businesses are also being urged to address matters of sustainability. “At ELA Container, sustainability is a key part of our corporate DNA”, explains ELA Area Sales Manager Ralf Neelen. “Using minimal resources, we can adapt our all-purpose container modules to any need for space. This means that rented rooms from ELA always have more than nine lives.”
A container system has recently begun its third life on Marktplatz in Haren. Made from two ELA premium containers connected along their long sides, the bakery will serve as a temporary solution while the actual Schäfer branch is renovated from the ground up. “This system has previously been used as an information point and a showroom”, says Neelen. “With its full-length windows and compact measurements, it is also perfect as a retail area.”
The bakery staff are happy with the ELA rooms with their anthracite grey exterior paintwork and bright interior design: “We enjoy being in our container-based bakery and the customers are responding well to the temporary branch.”
The container system will be used as retail space for two months. And after that? “We will see”, says Neelen. “It is not inconceivable that the same containers will be used as a school, nursery, bank branch or office, either individually or in combination with other modules”, explains a field staff member. “That is what makes our products sustainable: they can always be reused.”
