It is not unusual for ELA containers to be used at trade fairs or roadshows. But when it is a mobile radio studio made from containers, the application becomes a little more specialised. ELA’s base in Dubai manufactured this very room solution for the Arabian Radio Network (ARN). Visually appealing, functional and mobile, it is ideal for a series of events with live reporting and interviews.
‘The customer knew exactly what they wanted from their container system’, says ELA International Operations Manager David Rushton. A recording studio, offices, a VIP lounge and a roof terrace were just some of the specifications which ultimately led to the extraordinary, 60 m2 system with lots of glass surfaces and eye-catching branding. The highlight: A roof terrace for VIP guests to party in private with spectacular views of the surrounding area.
The radio station is fully equipped. With benches, tables and electrical connections, it creates the perfect conditions for broadcasting to run smoothly. The customer is delighted: ‘We were impressed by ELA Container’s planning concept, equipment options and flexibility. We could even make adjustments to the containers at short notice thanks to the on-site ELA team.’
The container-based radio studio is used for three days each month. The series of events will last for three years overall. ‘Flexibility is very important with applications like this’, says Rushton. ‘ELA containers can be set up and dismantled quickly without a problem.’ The mobile studio is stored at ELA Container Dubai between events.
